Spells of Genesis

Spells of Genesis is an upcoming trading card/arcade game from Swiss-based company EverdreamSoft (creators of Moonga). The game’s economy will be integrated with Bitcoin Blockchain through Counterparty Protocol. This means that all the game items and in-game currency will be tradable outside the game. Also the project team plans to integrate the game with FoldingCoin, Storj, GetGems.
The crowdsale of BitCrystals, the tokens of Spells of Genesis, starts on July 29th 2015 at Swarm and will end after 30 days. 70,000,000 BitCrystals will be available during the token sale, about 30,000,000 CitCrystals will be distributed among the early adopters and investors before the sale starts. Initial price will be at the rate of 15,000 BitCrystals per BTC and it will increase every 5 days.
All raised funds will be held in a multisig wallet controlled by a third-party (@tonilanec and @jdogresorg). The project will receive funds after reaching the planned milestones:
- #1 — Alpha version of Spells of Genesis with 10 different game levels (end of September 2015) (33% of funds)
- #2 — Fully featured beta version of the game with all components present (February 2016) (33% of funds)
- #3 — Final development of the game with over 100 game levels and 150+ cards (April 2016) (34% of funds)
The funding goal is $200k to finish development in time.

From the Cyber Battlefields
Bitcoin v0.11
New version of the Bitcoin Core brings both new features and bug fixes.
To solve a problem of the network flooding with a low-fee transactions developers introduced two major improvements:
- An ability to restrict a relay of the transactions by a minimum transaction fee (default fee is 0.00001 BTC). If a transaction fee is less than a predetermined value, the transaction will be rejected and will not be relayed to other nodes
- An ability to restrict a relay of the free transactions (by default it is 15). The smaller the number the smaller a speed at which the mempool can grow due to free transactions.
Other improvements:
- Block file pruning that allows Bitcoin Core to run a fully validating node without maintaining a copy of the raw blocks and undo data on disk. A user specifies how much space to allot for the block & undo files (min. 550MB). It is a “middle” version of Full-Node Wallet and Lite-weight Wallet
- Memory usage optimization
- Better algorithm for a fee estimation
- Possibility to disable broadcast of the wallet transactions
- Stream isolation for Tor

NEM
Several good news came from the latest Blog Post.
The new version of the NEM client (v.0.6.42) is ready. It contains a lots of nice improvements, including:
- Editable multisignature that allows you to change your M to N at any point of time, add or remove signers.
- Client update notifications
- Import/Export bugs fix
- Ability to sign using a token that allows you to enter a string of data and get a hash that can then be then used for signing
- Activation and deactivation of delegated harvesting via multisig
Though Mosiacs, the NEM’s asset program, is mentioned in the post, there are no details when it will be rolled out. It is also unclear when Namespaces, a naming system, will be integrated.
In addition, Makoto, one of the core developers of NEM, is quitting his job and going to work on a project built on NEM. You can read his interview at Cointelegraph.
